One day our buttoned-up societies will accept once again men in skirts. I go for jean mini-skirts myself, with tights underneath if the weather gets chilly. I can't pretend I go outdoors at this stage dressed like that, bt we can always start off on the b ach and in the park..... Utiikilts is my statement.. meant to be knawed by those kilted, feared by the kiltless and flocked to by those feline vixens of our kilted tribe. I have been wearing kilts out to various functions frequently for about two years now here in the Washington, D.C. USA area and the vast majority of people give it no mind. Usually, if i get comments, they are very positive, particularly from women. I even have several womens wrap skirts that I wear and people think they are kilts too! So, you indecisive guys, go ahead and wear skirts and kilts- be cool, comfortable and sexy! Oh, by the way I personally think shaved legs with socks look best with them.

Good luck with your fledgling, equal-opportunity website! Ideas: photos of great men in skirts (you could probably find movie photos to download if you hunt around the net, including Mel Gibson in "Braveheart" and Liam Neeson in "Rob Roy" --though techn cally, I'm not sure a kilt is exactly a skirt.) Also, pictures of whirling dirvishes and bedouin men in traditional desert galabayot, men in Bali, Fiji and other South Pacific islands in traditional sarongs, etc. You're right: the bias against skirts f r men is just a ridulous, ethnocentric cultural chauvinism! the idea that men should wear skirts too came to me about a year ago, when an irc friend of mine who lives in london sent me a picture of him, where he was wearing a skirt, with well shaven legs. i thought it actually looked pretty sexy and all, but yet trange. I asked him if he was gay or something like that, and his answer, which I will never forget, was the thing that convinced me that both men and women are to wear whatever they feel like wearing, and that fashion is just a stupid thing that changes very day. i should explain that to my mum as well, she thinks im a complete weirdo because i dont dress up like the rest of the girls in my school... anyway, my friend's answer was that: "What is you people's problem??? you have to be gay to wear a skirt? 'cmon, you people, it's the fucking nineties!!!!!"...... not as amusing an answer as you probably expected, but then again, i am 13 years old and i find things very exciting.. cheers, Reut.
