If you enjoy history, a good mystery, and solving puzzles then GENEALOGY is probably for YOU ! You get all these things and more when you begin to research your ROOTS !

I became interested in Genealogy research in 1985 when I was given an old family Bible which had belonged to my Great Grand-mother on my father's ( Zollers ) side of my family. It had information written in the family tree section concerning her relatives.

I became intrigued with finding more information about these people. I started out by visiting local cemeteries and looking for tombstones with the family names I was concerned with on them. I kept a written log of all my findings by cemetery. I logged the names, birthdates, deathdates, and any other information on the stone. I asked all my family members for any information that they had on these people.
I was keeping all this information on paper since I was not yet computerized. I had filing cabinets full of papers all of which were not real organized.

Then in 1992 I got my first computer...an IBM PC which had been converted to an XT. I picked up a DOS based Genealogy program called Brother's Keeper and started entering all my paper data into the software database. WHAT A DIFFERENCE ! In a few short years I went from a couple hundred people in my database to today where I have over three thousand people in my database.

In 1993 I joined the Historical Society of Montgomery County and started using their library to research cemetery records and church records for births, baptisms, deaths and burials. I also searched through the Census records for Montgomery County. I searched through will abstracts and other information published by the Society.

I then got on the Internet in 1997 and found a whole lot more resources than you could ever possibly imagine. Although there is very little information on the surnames I am researching, I have met a few relatives and hope to meet a lot more in the future. Below are the main surnames I am researching. I hope to put a lot more of the information on these pages as I get the time. Look through the existing information and if I can help with your research let me know.
