As you've probably guessed, I have a large interest in history. I enjoy as a hobby attending reenactments - that is, hobby historians dressing up as authentically as possible and impersonating people from the 18th century.

Revolutionary War

I've been doing this for over 12 years now, and I'm starting to get my son involved (left). I portray an army minister/chaplain for the patriot militia forces. This way I can preach and also fall in with the musket for drilling and skirmishes against our fellow reenactor British army friends.    The tri-state area as well as Long Island has much colonial history so there tend to be enough local events around.
