Irish Blessings

May there always be work for your hands to do...

May your purse always hold a coin or two...

May the sun always shine on your windowpane

May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain...

May the hand of a friend always be near you

May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you and until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Here's to the four hinges of society.
May you fight, steal, lie and drink.
When you fight, may you fight for
your county.
When you steal, may you steal
away from bad company.
When you lie, may you lie at the side
of your sweetheart.
And when you drink,
may you drink with me.
May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow.
And may trouble avoid you wherever you go

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

the rains fall soft upon your fields,

and until we meet again may God

hold you in the palm of his hand

There are good ships, and there are wood ships,
The ships that sail the sea.
But the best ships are the friendships,
And may they always be.

"If fields of green and skies of blue
Were mine to give I'd give to you
The brightest stars God made to shine
I'd give to you if they were mine.

If every bird in every tree
Knew of the love I'd give to thee...
They'd sing of joy, that's what they'd do,
And the love song they'd sing I'd give to you
There's so much that I want to give to you!"
