Our construction team wants to give you and your whole family a great big THANKS for hosting our recent trip. Your work behind the scenes to keep us in transportation and water and GATOR-AIDE really let us just concentrate on the job at hand. I was in Caracus in 1993 with an Evangelistic Partnership project. Had a great experience just as I had in 1985 in Maricaibo. I would like up-dates if possible on how the churches are doing with which I worked. This is my first time to E-mail a foriegn mi sionary and this time thanks to a church member who e-mailed your address to me and thanks to my 13 yr. old son, Davidson who helped me get to this point on line. I will look up the church names that I worked with. I know the one in Maraicaibo was Salvati n Baptist, but the two in Caracas were more difficult to say and thus remember. One of them was in a bario and the other was the bottom floor appartment of a high tower building. I would be interested in connecting with a church in SC that might be going o Caracus or Venezuela on a partnership. I look forward to hearing from you if you have time to write. - PS - I serve a small anglo church in a predominately black community. We have just voted this month to open our facility to host a Haitian fellowship roup of about 20+ persons. We are in the process of drawing up guidelines to soon be voted on and then officially invite the Haitains to begin using some of our space. This is an exciting process for our small struggling church. We have no money to suppor them, but I believe God is going to provide. Have had two S.S. Classes from two different churches offer financial assistance. This opportunity has come to us through the Greenville Baptist Association Mission Development Council on which I serve. The Ha tian fellowship intends to apply for Mission Status as soon as they have a place to meet and continue growing. We will then have to decide if we want to be the primary sponsor or maybe a co-sponsor. We will be praying for you. You have a fine-looking fami y. My wife and I have three children: a boy, 25; girl, 22 and boy, 13. Our daughter, 22 is preparing for her first overseas mission trip-- 6 weeks in China in literacy missions this July and August. I can't believe she taking all those shots, because she ates them due to a number of hospitalizations growing up. She is finishing her first year of teaching high school English and is very active as a Young Life sponsor at her school. I look forward to corresponding with you or if you don't have time to write to getting you newsletter.
