We purchased Bud from Sherry and Rick Baerwinkel in December of 1999, shortly after losing our first stallion Bearsimpresivestar. Coincidentally, Bud is Bear's sire! It seemed like destiny. Baerwinkels had used this gentle stallion for trail riding and sorting cattle for 10 years. He was well known for producing quiet, sensible babies and was often crossed with hunter ponies. He is solidly built with lots of bone and body. His sire is a Superior Halter and APHA Champion. His dam is a Pleasure point earner. We are thrilled with his outstanding foals out of our special broodmares.

He has proven his siring ability through his foals and grandbabies, winning futurities, earning cash payback, winning APHA and open shows, earning multiple ROMs and just being nice recreational horses. Bud IS NOT paid into the APHA Breeders' Trust this year, as there was no interest from mare owners for this incentive. The 2007 breeding fee for Bearley Light is $250 Canadian. We do not ship semen at this time. While he is a tobiano phenotypically, Bud does carry the OLWS gene inherited from his overo parent line.

This photo was taken Easter Sunday, 2000 at 15 years of age.

This photo of Bud as a 2 year old was received from Juanita and Marshall Behnke. Thank you!
