A Thin Blue Line


27th Jun 1999 - Corrine missed her "M" for about 2 weeks. We had planned to go down to the Bishan Shopping Mall to get a new TV & fridge for our new Home. Might as well get the ClearBlue Home Pregancy Test kit while we were there. Came back home & did the test: "Oops! Looks like I've to go back to the shop & get a bigger fridge!" This is the beginning of a new chapter in our life:

On the test kit positive indicator was "A Thin Blue Line".

29th Jun 99 - Calculated backwards & identified the possible date of Conception as either the 8/9 of May or 17th of May 99. Those were the only days she was in town during the month of May. 17th may was the higher probability. The appointment with the doctor is scheduled for the 2nd of July. Our parents do not know this news yet !!!
2nd Jul 99 - Went to the doctor's today to verify the pregancy. Most of the symptoms were there: Fatigue, tenderness in the breast, hunger pangs, acne and more frequent visits to the toilet. She doesn't have any morning sickness, apparently because the rest of her family doesn't get it. Dr Lim did a scan to reveal a 6mm foetus == 6 weeks old from the time of her last period. Apparently the kid was conceived after the Beijing Trip, sometime around the 22/23 of May 99. The estimated delivery is 23 Feb 2000.

We had a mini 'promotion' celebration with her aunts & parents on following night (Saturday). And looks like her New Orleans & Sydney trip would be cancelled.
