Birthday Party: - Buzz Lightyear
Christopher's
party was held early on Saturday, November 11. The theme, Buzz Lightyear. His favorite character from the Toy Story
movies. Nicole had a soccer game that day and then a lunch with presentation of trophies. On the way home, Christopher
fell fast asleep in the van and slept about 15 minutes into his party. Even his friends climbed around the van
trying to wake him up. Tina finally took some ice cubes and rubbed it on his arms to wake him.
We rented a moon walk style jumper. It fit perfectly between our house and the neighbor. It had space ships on the front and the kids loved bouncing in it. There were a few bumped heads, but that's to be expected.
Tina created cardboard wings that the kids could color. Once strapped on, they pretended they were Buzz Lightyear flying around the house and yard.
We also got a Buzz cake, which was fun. Tina took it easy this year and actually ordered it from the grocery store.
Christopher had a stuffy nose and would develop a cough after running around too much. A couple times he gagged and threw up. He has a very sensitive gag reflex. This was the worst part of the day.
Here's a funny story. When Christopher got his pictures taken the photographer asked him what he wanted for his birthday. Christopher said, "Bad guys. Just bad guys". See the Evil Emperor Zurg below to see he got his wish.

It was very unusual because the vote is so close between Vice President Al Gore (D) and Texas governor George W. Bush (R) that as of 11/10, the winner still isn't decided. Florida is recounting their votes in some counties because the difference was less than 1/2 of 1 percent. It's heading into the courts as the two candidates try to keep or throw out the recounts.

Computers containing the Intel Pentium 4 chip began selling right on Christopher's birthday.
Our home computer is still the old 233Mhz Pentium, 96Mb RAM, 15.5 Gb hard drive. We did get a new 3D video board
and Christopher loves playing his Buzz Lightyear game.
At work I'm getting a new 933Mhz computer, 512Mb of 300Mhz RDRAM, 18Gb SCSI 10000rpm hard drive, 8x4x32 CD-RW drive,
250Mb Zip Drive.
