	Party!
	Nicole had quite a birthday this year. It started on Friday, February 15 with a sleepover with two of her closest friends. The theme was "Sagwa", the Chinese siamese cat from one of Nicole's favorite PBS TV shows. Tina and Nicole had made cat costumes (ears and a tail) and the girls put on make-up as they dressed as cats. We also purchased Chinese dishes, chopsticks and decorations and the girls had tea and chinese food while sitting on the floor. Tina also made colorful pillows with tassles for them to sit on. The girls also went on a treasure hunt, following parchment scrolls to fun activities like "pin the tail on Sagwa". To top the slumber party off, Tina made a beautiful Sagwa birthday cake. The best compliment of the night came from Lindsey's little brother who said "Hey, that's Sagwa". Nicole wanted to do something with her friends from school, so Saturday afternoon we picked up three of them and went to the Dallas Children's Museum. There they had fun with crafts plus Chinese music and a lion dance. Nicole was picked to try holding and playing a violin with help from the orchestra conductor. She also got to wear the Lion Dance costume after their performance. Very fun. We then went to McDonalds and had happy meals and cupcakes. Finally, on Sunday, Nicole's actual birthday, we had our family celebration. Nicole helped Mom bake a cake and she decorated it herself. We then opened presents and enjoyed her birthday for the third time.

	Computer news: We still have the same old Intel Pentium 233Mhz with 96Mb RAM and 15Gb of hard disk space running Windows 98. At work I have a 1Ghz machine with 512Mb of RAM and a CD-RW drive. Very nice. Microsoft's latest operating system is Windows XP. The fastest Intel Pentium machine now runs at 2.2Ghz. Gasoline: We usually pay around $1.01 per gallon of regular unleaded fuel.
