We are related if you go back to Samuel Farr (1684 - 1754) who married Hannah Whitney. Descendency - Abraham, Abel, Abel, Edwin, Asa, Wilson. That's 7 genearations back. You have done a lot of research on the Farr family.

I'm sorry your ances. arent mine -been having a terrible time trying to locate any infor on Abraham Farr, Sr and Abraham, Jr who were in Philadelphia, Pa where Sr. died, will dated,1823, in which he named son Abram jr and nephew john lewis ex'xtrs.his da ghter, Sarah Farr who married a Wood and had gr.son Nathan and gr.dau's: Mary;Phebe;and sarah wood to whom he left money, linens and the use of his kitchen until they married (their mother dc'd)were cousins to Abram Jr's dau. Sarah Ann Farr, named for he grandmother,( who was Sarah Ann Lewis Farr), and her Aunt,( who was Sarah Ann Farr Wood), married when 17 and again when 18, to my ggggf, Lewis Wood, son of Abraham Wood and Martha Jane Lewis, and had Nathan Wood and died in childbirth with second son,Ge rge Wood who also died. Makes you dizzy doesn't it? anyway my Sarah Ann Farr and Nathan Wood were first married in Philadelphia in 1830 but Nathan was a Quaker boy and when they went to Ohio where his family were living, his father and the Church made t em marry again when she was of age but the Quakers still dismissed Nathan for marrying a "show girl who cut her hair" -she had already made her debut as an opera singer in Philadelphia. Their son Nathan was born 08-08-1831 in Belmont Co, OH. I havent bee able to locate any information on this Farr family in Pennsylvania. If you can help point me in the right direction I'll be very grateful-

My mother, Ladorna Farr is related through Winslow Farr, Aaron Farr, Lucian Coridan Sr., Lucian Coridan Jr. I was trying to find out what work had been completed on her line and was amazed at this site. My Grandfather was Charles Oliver Farr, who lived his entire life in Greensfork, IN. My Grandmother was Edna Vina Coon Farr - they had 22 children together! I try to put the histories with each family in my genealogy books and share them with the younger members of the family to interest them in genealogy.
