Joan West jwest31@gte.net 3135 Saddle Creek Road, Lakeland, FL 33801 Need info on my grandfather,s,Robert Washington Buchanan, ancestors. He was born in 1833 near or in Talladega, AL. He is in Tishomningo County, MS on the 1850 census living with James Riley Buchanan. We have information on James Riley Buchanan's family and know there is a connection with our Robert Washington Buchanan, but so far have not been able to make this connection. RWB has great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and 3g grandchildren living in Tishomingo and Iuka today. Have looked for Robert Washington Buchanan's parents for years. If anyone knows of any Buchanan's in or around Talladega, please get in touch. Thank you.

He married Agness WYLIE (WILLEY) in Abbey, Renfrewshire, Scotland, Oct. 9, 1788. She was the daughter of Hugh "WILLIE" and Jannet GIBSON. John and Agness immigrated to Montreal, possibly with their sons William and Walter, in 1811. He died in 1834, and she died in Boucherville, Montreal in June, 1847. They had one other daughter, Margaret Buchanan who married William Gardner. They are my ancestors and I have a record of that line. Thank you.

He married Mary MCCLELLAN, and they had at least one daughter, Margaret BUCHANAN born in 1793. Margaret emigrated to Canada with her husband, Robert FERGUSON, and two sons and two daughters in 1816.

Married Amy Jane HARKINS 31Mar1864 in Morgan County, OH. Amy b cira 1842 in PA. As of 1870 Census, Homer Twp, Morgan Co, OH Alexander and Amy has 3 children, Charles S b 1865, Josephine b 1867 and unnamed daugher 1-1/2 yrs old. Alexander and Amy also had daughter b cira 1872 named Rose. Rose married twice (1) Robert H. JEWETT m 29Mar1892 in Athens Co, OH and (2) John Quincy ADAMS, Sr m 11May1904 in Guernsey Co, OH. Rose and John had 2 sons, Cecil b 27Mar1902 and John Quincy, Jr. b 17Oct1904. Would appreciate any information regarding this line.
