we can find reference to two PANNETON's:
Jean Baptiste Panneton (Chorette )
Marie-Reine Panneton (Girouard )

MARGUERITE PANNETON married Jacques GALARNEAU in 1704, when Louis XIV was living the last ten years of his long reign. It is believed that this Marguerite might have been the same person who died and was put in the Church Vault in Quebec city on December 19 1752, the vault where everyone was interred until it got full later in the century. Anyone can visit the beginning tunnel (starting from the Catholic Church) where the Monsignors are, but the recessed tunnels are not accessible to the general public. It is nevertheless interesting to see this.

Another mention of Marguerite Panneton, around 1748, was about Joseph Galarneau, a yound Metis adopted by her son Jean-Baptiste Galarneau.
There is the possibility that Joseph Galarneau, born in 1681, adopted Metis son of Jean-Baptiste Galarneau (son of Jacques Galarneau and Marguerite Panneton) which we know to have been Native American and illegitimate,
was possibly the son of their Grand-Father, Jacques Galarneau (husband of Jacqueline Heron who were parents of Jacques Galarneau who married Marguerite Panneton).
Joseph Galarneau would have been born in the Detroit area.
One of his descendant was Narcisse Galarneau.

In the LARIVIERE, GUERARD and BARABE Families, there was another MARGUERITE PANNETON (of the Houray dit Guérard branch)
was married to CHARLES GAUDET,
and they had at least one daughter, Emilie GAUDET

In the BERNIER, DUQUETTE, LANDRY, MARTIN, COUTURE Families there was an EVA PANNETON born c.1894 in Quebec married to Isodore DUQUETTE

On the FRANCO-GENE MESSAGE BOARD:
a reference to HERMINE PANNETON

On the BLAIS/BLAIR Labrador, QUebec, Ontario website
there is a reference to JACQUES ZEPHIRIN PANNETON and Georgianna AYOTT, born in Trois-Rivieres Mauricie, c.1858, who had six children; Antoinette, Laura, Eva, Jeannette, Georgette and Ammi(who was killed in WW1)

CLAUDE PANNETON & Dr. REYNAL Connection
There was a Claude PANNETON who owned land/houses around St.LOUIS, Missouri, and there were recorded contracts with Dr. Antoine Reynal,(born in 1740) one of the pioneer doctor's of St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri, who came from Louisiana around 1760. In 1774 he married Marie Toupart and they lived in Ste Genevieve, neighbours of Joseph Papin and his wife Marguerite Pepin who had had a son, Joseph-Marie Papin who married Marie-Louise Chouteau, the sister of Auguste CHOUTEAU, the co-founder of St.LOUIS with Pierre Laclede.
"In the same year (1800) Dr. Reynal acquired a tract of land in the village of St. Charles from the same Claude Panneton"
Dr. Antoine Reynal owned a Creole type house (apparently wooden) on the site of the old Court House, and we have a manuscript account of this house and adjacent orchards and gardens, written in the 1860's by William A. Lynch who visited the house in 1824 "... I occupied a room in the old family mansion in 1824"
ST.Louis Genealogy Society Quarterly, Vol.
www.reynal.com/people/17400000.htm
In the same St.LOUIS ARCHIVES there are still advertisements of St.Charles Fur Trading Company which read:
"The Saint Charles Soap Factory offers 1¢ a pound for pure clean grease, or will trade one pound of pure clean grease for one cake of pure clean soap."
The soap factory was followed by a candle factory.
Another ad tells us "Buy our candles. They will make your home at night as light as day."
Then followed the starch factory, and then it became the St. Charles Pottery Factory.
A few of these flower pots and milk churns have been found and are exhibited with the St. Louis Historical Society.

ABOUT THE MARSOLET FAMILY NAME
When the son of Nicholas, Jean, died without a male line, it was Louise and her husband Jean Lemire who assumed the responsability of continuying the Marsolet name. The other sons -in-law of Marsolet were Guyon and Damours. Therefore the Lemire-Marsolet, and later on the other branch-off created by Bonaventure Marsolais-Lemire represented Nicolas Marsolet de St-Aignan.

His life is one of those stories with a happy ending: he was successful in his relationship with the Montagnais from 1608 to 1635, got married, was rich and lived a fulfilled life with his wife & children, was always healthy and died at an unheard age, in those days, of 90 yrs. Read about some of his achievements in
the "We were there!" series
