2003 Arkansas Vacations

January 2003 ... Beaver Lake and Beaver Creek are about thirty minutes from Bella Vista.  The lake is quite large!  However, the creek just below Beaver Dam is where the trout action will be found!  This creek is about six miles long and should provide entertainment for Jake and visitors alike.  We hear that it is easy to fill your limit on a daily basis!  (Please forward any and all trout recipes at your convenience!)

April 2003 ... On a return trip to Bella Vista, we traveled further west to the Bull Shoals area which is some of the best trout fishing around.  It is in central Arkansas about 3 hours from Bella Vista.  Jake is seen in action on the White River.  The water is so clear that you can see the trout passing under the boats constantly.

December 2003 ... We travelled through Bella Vista on our way to Branson, Missouri. Amongst other adventures, we spent an evening with Andy Williams as he performed his Christmas Show!  This show did NOT disappoint!  I highly recommend it to everyone who visits Branson.  I know I will never miss an evening with Andy Williams on visits to Branson.  We should be making a few of those as it is less than two hours from Bella Vista.  AND we discovered that the gals can shop till they drop during the day at any of four outlet malls while the gents either play golf or fish on Lake Taneycomo.  The water is actually less than a block from some condos in the area!  The golf course winds its way right through the condos!  Just another plus to making this area our home in the future!

Andy William's Theater

Table Rock Lake Dam and Lake Taneycomo ...  Taneycomo is stocked with trout monthly!  There is a fish hatchery right below the dam.  Jake saw some of the biggest trout he had ever seen in their visitor center tanks.
