The society's prime function is to raise public awareness of the need for egg and embryo donation, to provide potential egg donors with the appropriate information about egg donation and to direct women who wish to donate eggs to centres nearest to their home. The UK government recently decided to set up a properly-funded national organisation for egg donation - watch this space!
