"A burger, fries or pizza is standard fare for many at noon every day. Darren Laskey is eating a big bowl of chili fries smothered in sour cream, bacon bits and green onions.
He calls it a "heart attack in a bowl". This isn't his usual lunch choice. He tries to eat healthier than this, he says.
"I eat out three days a week. I don't pack a lunch very often. Time is a factor and my fridge is not well-stocked".
So when it comes to satisfying his noon-hour hunger, he usually heads to the nearest take-out several times a week." |
