Resident of Vinton Passes Away After Long Illness
Vinton, La., Feb. 21- Funeral services for Mrs. I.C. Yocom,57, of Vinton, will be held Saturday morning, the hour not yet determined, in the home, with interment in Big Woods cemetery where a son, Lastie 13, is buried.  Rev. L.W. Rogers, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Orange, Texas, will be in charge.

Mrs. Yocom died last night after an illness of several months, the latter part of which has been spent in bed.

Surviving her are her husband who is ill in the state hospital at Jackson, La.; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Smith, age 92, of Kings Mountain, Ky.; two brothers, Grover Smith of Kings Mountain and Ed Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hoge (Hogue) of Kings Mountain and Mrs. O.M. Kinsley of Mt. Salem, Ky.; one son, J.C. Yocom of Sulphur, five daughters, Mrs. Jake Guzzetta of Berwick, Mrs. M.L. Brenner of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Eba Hebert of Katy, Texas, and Misses Effie and Genevieve (Genevie) of Sulphur (Vinton); and four grandchildren, Barbara Ann and Gloria Jean Yocom of Sulphur, Kenna Guzzetta of Berwick and Billy Brenner of Houston.

Active pallbearers will be: H.T. Passmore, Sam LeBoeuf, F.S. Montgomery, Roy Bares, A. Simon, and H.M. Lane.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mayor Athan Perry, Rep. J.W. Shaw, Sines LeBoeuf, R.L. Chesser, Frank Fairchild, and Adam Courmier.

Her sister that is listed as O.M. Kinsley should be W.M. Tinsley.  Her sister was Nancy Jennie Smith married to William Mose Tinsley.
