This website is up for a remake. I have been keeping fish as pets ever since I can remember, for countless reasons, but primarily because I marvel at life itself and how animals interact with the environment. There was a time, in fact, that I was feeding seven different pets, including a pair of rabbits and an ant colony. My friends and I would hike during school breaks to a river behind the nearest mountain, just to get a few wild guppies and have them displayed in a one-gallon glass container that was being used for candies. Now that I am working and have a fast internet connection, I was able to revive the aquarium hobby because of information I gathered from the internet. Now I am able to raise fish longer, breed some of them during summer, and grow the plants I have in the aquarium.

My AquariumThrough this website, I hope to give beginning hobbyists some information about the hobby based from my own experience and from information I gathered elsewhere on the net. I hope to also give justice to my very own collection of fish by showcasing my aquarium here. Lastly, I hope some of you who have information to share will share it with me so I can put it up here and share it with the rest of the world.

In future updates to this website, I will try to put up the most helpful and informative tips you will send me, and maybe, if I can find a way (and the hosting space), I will post pictures of your aquarium/fish in a special section of the site. Be sure to come back here often as I will be putting tons, er gallons, of information here.

Trip to Subic

Me-Ann (my wife) and I went to Subic, Zambales on 15 November to light some candles at the cemetery for my grandparents. I took the opportunity to take some pictures of rivers and ponds while in the bus, to show you some habitats of freshwater fishes here in the Philippines.

Come back to this article soon because I'll be putting up a link to the pictures and some blurb about the trip.
