I bought some kind of underwater grass at Cartimar during lunch break today. Been exprimenting on what aquatic plants I can grow using my 2-liter soda bottle CO2 setup.

The setup actually consists of two 2-liter bottles, so that I change yeast mixtures every weekend on one of the bottles, and I get a steady stream of CO2 all day and all night. So far, none of the plants I bought wilted or died. I usually buy plants every month to replace the ones that died because I cannot grow them. The CO2 was a "miracle" addition to my aquarium. Now I can call my setup a "planted" aquarium.

The lady who sold me the grass-like plant calls it a "carpet" which, I think, is because it looks like a thick carpet of short grass. I'm to much of a beginner hobbyist to know the names of aquatic plants so I'd rather not put a name on it yet. I'll try to take some photos of it when it's in the aquarium already so that an advance reader can help me figure out what it is.
