About Me
Hello,

You finally got through all the genealogy stuff on this site. Good for you!

(If you skipped ahead, go back to the Home Page and read the entire site.)

I hope you found a relative or two along the way. But if not and you think that you are related you may still be right, because there is no way  that I have ALL the information on any of these families.

Don't Let This Happen To You.

If you are just getting into Genealogy and wonder how to get started, here is the first thing you should do.

Get a pen and paper or a tape recorder of some type and quiz your oldest relatives. Find out about their parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters. Where they lived and what they did for a living. When they were born and anything else you can think of that might be of interest to you of a family related nature.

The Internet is an excellent source as well, many people post their family history on Genealogy sites or on web pages they made themselves. (such as this one) There are also census records, Church records, Public records like birth and death certificates, there are also Glenn Miller records. However you must be In The Mood to listen to them. They will help you get into the swing of things. Even after going through them they may leave you flat, or going round in circles.

For my self, I have an obvious interest in genealogy, hence this web site. I also like to read, mostly Science fiction or Fantasy adventure, but I will read almost anything that catches my interest. You will very rarely find me without a book in hand or close by.

I am my nurture and nature a punster, is my father. I am one of those awful people that just can't leaf the language alone and must branch out at every opportunity with a observation or comment usually getting a groan in reply.   Although many wish I would Trunk-cate my comments before they sprout.  But most puns are harmless enough, usually their bite is worth a bark of laughter. It is a grave responsibility not interred to lightly.

I was born in 61, which century that was in I'll let you decide, in Wisconsin.  When I was three we moved to San Francisco. At the age of Six I joined our church's children's choir. I spent a total of 20 years in the church's children's and adult choir.

My other mental problem, besides punning, is that I am dyslexic. This means that I tend to think in pictures instead of words.

To explain: At some point when a child is learning to read there is a  switch that takes place and they start thinking in words and no longer in pictures.

Example: A baby lying in it's crib will see an elbow resting on the rail. The baby will complete the picture of who that elbow belongs to. The elbow is part of a larger, known picture that is called mommy.

When words make pictures they are understood, words like Cat,  Dog, and Elephant all make pictures of the animals they name. But words like "The", "And", "Or" and "Because" do not make pictures, there are no pictures for those words. This cause confusion when too many are used in a sentence. The meaning of the sentence is lost and when this happens frustration sets in and nothing is understood.

In High school I was in both band and choir and had lots of fun in both. I played the Alto Saxophone,  sang second base, and made many friends.

In college I majored in Electronics and got an AS degree out of it. I also met my future wife there,  Susie Huppert. Later I went back to school and got a BS from the University of San Francisco in Computer management. I have been full of BS ever since. Some would say before also.

Thanks for coming by.

Bill Jayne
