In 1996 we found two acres in a older sub-division east of town. As soon as we walked it, we knew we had found what we were looking for. After a couple of months of clearing brush and trees we were able to get construction started on our house and we moved in around Thanksgiving of 1996. Since then we have been busy landscaping and working on the place. We are very proud of the results of our hobbies and invite you to take a tour of the yard and it's various spots.
In our back yard area we have a garden pond. This is our third pond and uses rocks which were parts of the first two ponds. The pond is approximately 7'X16' and about 32" deep. We have various water plants and goldfish and koi in the pond. Click on the title for more pictures and information about the pond.
The area in front of the house has been designed with a more formal look and includes the arbor swing and a small formal pond. The area is planted with day lilies and flox. One bed has hostas and in the spring we have azaleas nearby. Click the title for more pictures.
We have concentrated on several beds and areas in our yard including a terraced rose and perrienials as well as annuals. For pictures of some special areas please click on the title for more pictures and details of our garden.
