Early members of the Church of Christ in Ferrellsburg met at the local grade school. Sometime in the late 1930s, Doc and Martha Mullins donated land for the construction of a church on Railroad Avenue. The Ferrellsburg Church of Christ was organized on October 9, 1938. Deacons were Doc Mullins and Taft Mullins. Elders were Minnis Mullins and Vernon Mullins. Church records indicate the following men as being early preachers were Brother White, Brother Hall, Brother Gartin, Brother Hesson, Brother Patrick, and Brother Rakes.

This bell is from the steeple of the first Church of Christ. We think it is an old farm bell. The church paid $6.00 for this bell in 1939.
The new Church of Christ was built in 1999 on the same spot as the old one on Railroad Avenue in Ferrellsburg.
