William D. and Emily (McGuire) Elkins
Many decendants of William and Emily have been searching for this set of g+grandparents for many years.
In June of 2005, my oldest son, Brandon and I , at the conclusion of the Lincoln Co., WV Secondary Teachers' Academy in Huntington, WV, visited the Ashland, KY library and with the help of an awesome librian in the genealogy dept., we located a map and listing for William and Emily Elkins' final resting place.
We also received a $155.00 fine along Rt 23 in Greenup. We were unaware of this particular "speed-trap" until later when several folks clued us in.
There are no speed limit signs posted from Greenup to Ashland, so BEWARE! Even though it is a 4-lane highway, the speed limit is 55. I have to also believe since cars with KY license plates were passing us as we drove along that maybe....the police along that highway don't care for WV visitors.Since we  were pulled over while all the others were allowed to speed on their way.
In spite of the unfairness and shabby treatment by the law inforcement of that county, it was a wonderful to find and visit this set of lost g+grandparents.
Mt. Zion Cemetery, Frost, KY. Located in Greenup County.
