Brian is not only starting 2nd grade, but showing his little sister around school. He is doing that with 2 missing front teeth to boot! Just ask him and he will tell you the story behind both of them being pulled.
True to form of a typical 7 year old (ok, nothing typical about him), Brian has his own mind. He has decided to know "everything" and everyone else is clueless in his eyes - especially his sister. Everything that doesn't come from him, is automatically an argument. Mom and Dad have to remind him quite often that most of the things he and Alison argue about are just opinions and his opinion is not necessarily the right one, nor is it the wrong one, but everyone has their own. That is what makes them special.
He truly enjoys tormenting his sister. But, in the same respect -- he stands up for her too. They are so close, it is wonderful (and scarey at the same time). I pity the person who tries to pick on Alison in front of him.
Brian isn't just reading children's books anymore - he read all the ones that are in the house. He has graduated to reading Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone (or anything else he can find) AND he is comprehending what he has read.
There is also nothing more important to Brian than his dad, sister and mom (probably in that order). To see them together, one on one, is amazing.
