Davydd McDonald is an 18 year old on a mission. After starting up dancing less than 3 years ago; Davydd has already notched up a State Championship title under his belt (1998 State Championships - Junior Mens division) and is now the headline male dancer in the Brisbane created show, "Dance of the Celts". Now working full-time as a Library Assistant at a Brisbane primary school; he fits in dancing and assisting at the Crocker School of Irish Dance around his busy work schedule.

    Happy to oblige in filling out his info sheet, Davydd came up with some pretty amusing responses; some of which I won't repeat on this page!! May I just point out that for once the lengthy time it has taken for this profile to be presented is not my fault. (These Brissie dancers seem to have a patent on loosing things!!).

Dancing Achievements/Results:

    *    1997 premierships. - Novice = 1st Place , Beginner = 1st Place
    *    1998 State Championships: - Junior Mens = 1st Place
    *    1999  A Lead of "Dance of the Celts"
    *    1999 Member of the Crocker School entry and Winners of the Gilhooleys Irish Dancing Competition.
    *   1999 Queensland State Solo Championships - 3rd place

Interests and Hobbies: Davydd has numerous interests including music (Davydd can play piano, organ, glockenspiel and basically any instrument you hit to make plenty of noise out of), computer games, TV, going to the movies, sleeping and as he shamefully admits, line dancing.

Aims in life/dancing: Would like to earn his TCRG, become a highly paid library technician; and learn the banjo and fiddle because they look like so much fun to play.

Other interesting information: Davydd is single, hates brussel sprouts and is aiming to win the State Championships this year. (Watch out Sean and Adrian!!)
