Robert Bertram

Robert  Bertram is the 'OTHER' half of Brisbane's premier music duo with friend Sean O'Brien. The unassuming 18 year old has been playing the piano since he was 6 years of age; and several months ago decided to take up the dancing side of the scene as well. With the 1999 South-East Qld Premierships rapidly approaching, Rob took the time out to write about his aims in life and dancing. If his determination and dedication are anything to go by, Rob could well be wearing the blue ribbon at the end of October.

His music quest began at the age of 6 when he began taking piano lessons. At around the age of 8 or 9 his interest in music levelled off before being inspired again at 12 years of age. With his eyes on a future in music, Rob continued throughout high school and gained his A.mus.A in mid-1999. After listening to Anthony Warlow sing, Rob at age 14 took up singing as well and aims to use his singing talents in musicals and operas in the near future. As many musicians do, Robert also became interested in composing his own pieces and to this date has written several orchestral pieces, a number of songs for voice and piano and more recently Irish Dance music. (Including the soon to be famous 'Bart the Bear' piece written by Sean and Rob)
