My name is Julia Marie Baumhoefer. My grandmother, Martha Traphagen, was born in New York. She is still alive today. My maiden name is Schueler. My husband is German, originally from Emden, Germany. If anyone needs old German translating, we can be of help in this area.

I have just been directed to this web site. I am a descendant of Willem Jansen Traphagen and had much of this data that my mother researched years ago. I will eagerly compare the data with what she had.

Interested in hearing from any Traphagens with a north New Jersey conneciton. I am the son of William Henry Traphagen of Cedar Grove, NJ. I believe his father's name was also William. I had an uncle named Robert Traphagen. Unfortunately, divorce and death has separated me from my Traphagen forbears.

I was glad to hear from you Chris and also I am researching my heritage as well. As you've said my part of the family is related to Willam Jansen Traphagen and so on after that. For everyone out there, my father's name is Edward Traphagen and my grandfath r's name is Joseph M. Traphagen Sr and my uncle is Joseph M. Traphagen Jr. Meeker and Burden name is connected to Traphagen. My father, uncle, and grandfather all originated from Lodi, NY and Ovid, NY. Also, we are the only Traphagens in our area so I gue s reading all of this and finding out there is actually more than three or four of us is quite interesting. If anyone knows this line up of family members please contact me at trappy112@gurlmail.com Keep in touch!

I'm very glad that there is a website dedictated to our surname! After all the cross-eyed looks I get when I have to pronouce my name over and over, it is wonderful to know that I am not alone and that Traphagens have been around for a long time! I was mo t surprised to find picturs of my parents on your picture page (Mark and Karyn)!

I can't believe there is a page about the Traphagan Family; We are the only Traphagan family around our area. In our family me and my brother, Shaun, are the only ones to carry on the Traphagan name. My dad has two sisters and one brother Dan, but he had nly girls so the name can not be carried on that way. Well I am glad there is a page like this.

As you know, I'd be iterested in hearing from anyone who knew or knows of my father, Kenneth William Traphagen, son of Margaret Fraebel, brother of Everett Traphagen (all from New Jersey)

I haven't had a chance to search it thoroughly but it looks nice. I just got a new computer and am learning to use it with Windows 98. My biggest problem seems to be the size of the page.
