Funerals Meet the Pastor

Publications ~
The publications produced by our church are meant to be informative and entertaining. The following list of documents are what you may expect from our office:
Church Bulletin - Printed weekly, it contains information vital to the church for the coming weeks of ministry.
Abundant Lifelines - Printed quarterly, it contains articles on church or Biblical matters, advertisements, and information for our church families. A calendar will accompany this document.
Church Directory - Printed bi-annually, it contains names, addresses and phone numbers of each family who attends our church (unless otherwise requested).
Bulletin Boards - Updated weekly, these boards are a tremendous source of advertisement. Take note of them.

Weddings ~
Weddings are always a joyous occasion. The Abundant Life Church of God stands ready to assist you in any way possible. The following is a set of guidelines that govern the use of our facilities:

The couple must complete two one-hour counseling sessions. Every couple must receive counseling before the wedding.
If the bride or groom attend the church, the honorarium for the Pastor is left up to the family. If the couple is not associated with our church through attendance or family, the cost is $100.
If the couple is not associated with the Abundant Life Church, a building charge of $150 will also be assessed.
All couples, whether part of our church or not, must pay a custodial fee of $50.
It will be the responsibility of the couple to mail the marriage licenses to the state.

Funerals ~
When a death occurs, it is usually a devastating time for the families involved. The Pastoral staff of our church wish to assist you in your time of need.

Please contact the Pastor immediately following the death; he will come to where you are without delay.
The Pastor will be with your family as much as you need him to be. Everything else will be put aside as much as possible to be with the family.
The Pastor will be available to assist you in preparation for arrangements, services, and to help you make purchases at the funeral home that are consistent with the guidelines of your household.
A funeral dinner will be provided for deaths of members and friends of Abundant Life Church. We will also serve dinner for families from our church whose close family members pass away.
Flowers or planters will be sent from the church.

Office Hours ~
The office of the Abundant Life Church of God is in operation Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., except Wednesday, when the office is closed from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The church phones are equipped with voice mail. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Counseling ~
The Pastoral Staff is available to assist our congregation in counseling. The sessions are conducted in 45 minute slots and are professionally conducted. Should a case become more than our training, the member will be referred to a reputable Christian counselor.

Meet the Pastor ~
Each Sunday a meeting room is prepared for our visitors. After service, the visitors are invited to "Meet the Pastor." In this brief meeting, we try to reach out and allow people to understand that we want them to come back to our church.

Visitation Ministry ~
Home - Busy schedules may preclude us from visiting your home. We find that a "pop in" home visit may not always come at a good time. It is for this reason that we ask you to contact us for invitation to your home. The staff will be happy to visit at any time.
Hospital - The new Hospital Policy is as follows:

Please call the church office or the Pastor. Do not assume the Pastor knows you are there unless you or a member of your household tells him personally.
Each person entering the hospital will receive a lovely basket filled with usable items to assist you in your stay.
The Pastor or staff member will visit you each day Monday through Friday unless otherwise requested. You will probably not receive a visit on Saturday, Sunday or holidays unless otherwise requested.

New Visitation - We will be glad to visit the home of any potential family for our church. Let us know if you are aware of people who need a church home.
