WELCOME TO THE MAIL ROOM!

This is the home page of the Sixth Postal Service & Radio Battalion, formerly the Sixth Radio Battalion, Space Ready Reserve.

The Space Ready Reserve, of course, is the official fan club of the Fox series "Space: Above and Beyond", which was canned by Fox after one season due to internal network politics. Fortunately, the show is still on the air Stateside thanks to the Sci-Fi Channel, to whom all praise is due for keeping this most excellent combat SF series on the air. Unfortunately, the Sci-Fi Channel is only available via cable and satellite, but many SAABers have taped copies of the episodes and these can almost always be seen at science fiction/media conventions if the Ready Reserve is there.

This page is mainly intended to serve as a home for links to the many useful & interesting to say nothing of strange sites set up by S:AABers across the fruited plains and around the world.

One of the more entertaining sites was done by a former listref on the Space:Above and Beyond Mailing List, El Sparko Diablo. Diablo Labs was responsible for some of the more...interesting...devices created by fans of the show, namely the T.C.McQueen Action Figure and the Feliciti Fun Pack. Must be seen to be believed.

Diablo Labs Now!

On the other hand, if all you want to see is El Sparko Diablo's interview with Kim Patton's alter ego Ashlyn Gere at the Louisville Deja Vu, click here. Naughty bits have been blacked out.

As was the case with Star Trek and other shows no longer in production, Space:Above and Beyond inspired a lot of fanfic. The best of it, in my arrogant opinion, can be found at Una Fritz's Fan Fiction Flightdeck and Jane Harmon's Fan Fiction Archives.

Want some more factual information about the show? Robert Warren has an excellent site here, and Pat Moss' original Mission Status page is also chock-full of useful info about the show. On the other hand, the information about the Ready Reserve is pretty dated and a lot of the links to other sites are no longer functioning.

Looking for a plot summaries of the shows? Check former head honcho Kate Duncan's Space: Above and Beyond News & Reviews page. Kate also does an excellent job keeping posted on what Morgan & Wong -to say nothing of just about everyone ever associated with the show- is doing these days in terms of movies, plays, ads, chat appearances, etc., etc. Definitely a must-see.
