Round 4: Sl st across the tops of next 2 dc, and into first ch 1 sp; ch 3, work 2 dc into first ch 1 sp; ch 1, work 3 more dc into same ch 1 space; * work 3 dc in each side sp to corner, work 3 dc, ch1, 3 dc in corner; repeat from * twice, join with a sl st to starting ch, cut yarn, pull through loop on hook, fasten off.

Take any 4 round center. With right side facing, join color B in any corner of square; ch 3 work (2 dc, ch 1, and 3 dc) all in corner; work 3 dc in each sp across side, in next corner work (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc); continue in this pattern around, and end join to start of round with a sl st. Continue in pattern until you have worked 8 rounds of color B. Break off Color B. Join Color A work 3 more rounds. Break off and fasten. Run in all lose yarn ends.

Joining: Join by placing two squares right side together. I use a yarn needle and whip stitch them together, being careful to match each stitch. Join in rows of 4 across and 5 down. When all are joined with Color A work 1 row in pattern around entire outer edge of afghan.

Note: When I made this afghan, I used 32 ounces of Winter White, and 32 ounces of Peach. It turned out really great. I am attaching a picture I made in Paint Shop Pro to give you an idea as to how the squares fit together.
