Welcome To Autumn

    I hardly know where to start when I want to tell you what this, my favorite season, means to me. For me, it is the most beautiful, peaceful time of the year: with the cooling of the evenings and the changing colors of the leaves.

    I love to take a walk on a beautiful sunlit, yet crisp autumn afternoon, with the wind gently blowing the dry, colored leaves from the trees and swirling them around in the air, while those that have already fallen, crunch beneath my shoes! Later, raking all the leaves in the yard into wonderful, big piles that are perfect to jump in!
    And cuddling to keep warm as we sit on the bleachers, exposing chilled hands and raising hoarse voices to cheer on the local high school football team! After the game, of course, we head home to enjoy hot chocolate, and maybe a caramel apple or two.
    There will never be a football widow in this house. I enjoy the games just as much as my husband, and love to make an "event" out of the special ones with treats and goodies so we can watch and get full at the same time!
    Another tradition of ours is that we like to take long lovely drives to see the changing colors all around the area where we live, and stop by to visit one or more of the many apple orchards for goodies.
    If we are lucky we occasionally get some early snow or even a snowstorm! Yes, I said lucky, as I absolutely LOVE snow!
