Word has been received of the death of Vernon Benjamin
Ochs of Fort Lewis Washington at Tacoma, Washington. He was a passenger
on a motorcycle driven by Clifton B. Roberts, also of Ft. Lewis. They collided
with the last car of several cars, then bounced ahead and sideswiped the
next vehicle throwing the men from the machine.
Ochs was raised in this vicinity, and has several relatives here. Surviving him are his wife, Mae and children Peggy, Barbara, Dick and Dianne Yager, and Vernon Ray and Phillip Carl Ochs. Surviving him here are 3 uncles, Henry, Alexander of Bison and Manuel Ochs of LaCrosse. Burial was at Ft. Lewis, Washington.
