Rule 81: Let humor be you secret weapon and power No. 1

A smiling tongue and a well turned humorous reply is the cheapest, the least offensive and although strongest weapons you may use. It is mot a matter of learning jokes. It is a matter of 1) showing joy and 2) using humor and wit to explain, to suggest, to defend, to ask, to comment. And remember the grook of the Danish architect and philosopher Piet Hein: The one who considers sadness just sad and joy just joyful, will understand both badful. (This is our private translation).

Try Robert Holden: Laughter is the Best Medicine and also Allen Klein: The Healing Power of Humor. Both are mostly treating the inner values and power of humor.

Rule 82: Use spare time for mental work

You may certainly need rest and quiet time. But instead of putting lots of entertainment into the brain, occupying your "hardisk" space, you may harvest from finding joy and pleasure in solving mental problems. The ability to stay mental alert and make logical and creative bridges, using your inherent knowledge, independent of any outside source, may help you in many connections. The German saying Ubung macht Meister - training makes the champion - also applies to mental power. It helps you maintain the rich knowledge you already have and to exercise your thinking abilities. Nobody needs to know.

Rule 83: Use your sleep for powerful dreaming

A sound sleep is valuable. A sleep which helps you to find solutions on tasks which are not considered bothering may be more. Patricia Garfield has written on this topic in the book Creative Dreaming. You have to prepare for the task before going to sleep. But remember: No negative input. You need a piece of paper and a pen during the morning care, to take care of the ideas being downloaded.

Rule 89: Enjoy sex in a stable partnership

Research has shown that couples making love more than twice a week at the average, will stay younger longer. Certainly a matter for everybody wanting to be powerful until the End. This is not a reading issue. But we will certainly look for more advice and perhaps also an explanation. It may have something with endorphins to do. Ask David Week at the Royal Edinburg Hospital if you meet him. In the meantime you may try Paul Coleman: The 30 Secrets of Happily Married Couples.

Rule 90: Consider a pistol and a smile

According to a saying, you will achieve more with a pistol and a smile, than with just a pistol. Anybody can handle a smile. But only a few know to handle a pistol.. If you want to have an introduction to this area, try The Basics of Pistol Shooting from NRA. It is well written. But less technical and more psychological is Bill Clede The Practical Pistol Manual - How to Use a Handgun for Self Defense. If you are technically interested, you should try Patrick Sweeney Gunsmithing - Pistols and Revolvers. By the way, our current favorites are Walther TPH .22 and Glock 17.

 The Six Laws of Work

  • A man must drive his energy, not be driven by it.
  • A man must be master of his hours and days, not their servant.
  • The way to push things through to a finish effectively must be learned.
  • A man must earnestly want.
  • Never permit failure to become a habit.
  • Learn to adjust yourself to the conditions you have to endure, but make a point of trying to alter or correct conditions so that they are most favorable to you.
