I have wanted to make an Oriental style wallhanging since I got the book Fabled Flowers by Kumiko Sudo. But I also wanted to use the Evening Star Oriental Treasures packages. So I combined both into this wallhanging. The Clematis block has the Chinese characters for joy, happiness and friend embroidered on the blue/green silk, but unfortunately does not show clearly in the picture. I entered it into their Oriental Treasures contest and won one of the Judge's Choice awards.
