Here's a report for 2002.

I'm going to try to update this at least once a year!

Neither of the boys spent any time with us this year.  In fact we didn't hear anything from them at all. We hope someday things will change but for now this is what we live with.

Irwin started off the year building an addition for the PA booth at church. We added a video area with capabilities for presentation software with a laptop, our VCR and the ability to add other video sources such as a camera. We will be able to send the signal to any of six receivers scattered around the church. Anyway, we needed a place to keep all this stuff and it fell to Irwin to build the extension for the PA booth.

There have been several major highway improvements around the are this year including a new intersection of Titan Road and Santa Fe. This has made it a challenge for us to get out and around, but the improvement to traffic flow once it is over has been great!

We have a new pastor at the church. Irwin was asked to serve as First Elder this last year. Helen has been the church organist and we've both been kept pretty busy. During the first quarter, the pastor asked Irwin to teach an introduction to computers "class" at the church. He had 8 - 12 people every week for 13 weeks.

The weekend of March 15-18 we went up to Estes Park to celebrate Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary a little early. Alice, Mike and Kids couldn't make it for the June date so we just did it early. It was really beautiful and we had a great time together.

The weekend of July 4 saw us traveling again. This time down to Mother and Daddy's in Kansas. On the way down we had an interesting time with a fuel filter on the pickup that got plugged up. We had to stay over for the night in Limon but made it to El Dorado the next day and spent a wonderful weekend with the Folks and Doyle and Suzie.

The end of August and first of September saw us making our way west. We went through Flaming Gorge and across Utah and Idaho to Payette, where we spent the weekend with Doyle and Suzie, David, Tanya and Alex.

Then it was back on the road through the Sawtooth Wilderness and across Idaho and Wyoming and then home.

Irwin still works with the Package Build team at JDEdwards. Helen's job at Split Rail Fence Company came to an end late spring. She has been doing odd things the rest of the year including keeping up with a wonderful garden this summer.
