46 (05??-0???) Brychan of the Gododdin - Ingenach
"The period between 410 and 450 [in Britain] saw an almost complete breakdown of the social order, particularly in the N ... During this 40yrs certain chieftains had become warleaders to defend their lands ... The best known was Coel, the Old King Cole of the nursery rhyme ... Others from this period in the N were Ceretic, who ruled from Dumbarton, and Cunedda, who seems to have been a war leader in the area of the Votodini, in Lothian, before he migrated to N Wales ... Cunedda was king of the Votadini, meaning that tribe, not of the land associated with them ... The [Briton] kingdoms we know are those that survived the initial Saxon invasion and were documented in the battles that followed as the Saxons and Angles drove westward. In the N there was a British kingdom based on the tribe of the Votadini, which later became known as the Gododdin" (MBKQ p44-6). So based on this, Brychan is probably descended from Cunedda (tho he doesn't show up on the "Sons of Cunedda" diagram on p140).

Family Index : : : Early Royal Ancestries
Many early royal genealogies trace English kings back to Brutus, the great-grandson of Aeneas. After the fall of Troy [c. 900 BC, MBKQ p. 715], Brutus defeated the Greek king Pandrasus, married his daughter, and then wandered across the face of Europe, eventually settling on the shores of Albion, where the Britons' long and noble history included defeat of the Romans and the exploits of the legendary King Arthur. From Brutus descend Kings of Britain (Arthur, Cadwallo), France (begins with Pharamund, later Rollo the Norman, Obertus (semi-mythical Oberon?), William Marshal, Clare line, Radalphus) and Spain and Saxony (Germany, Alfred).
54 (03xx-0427 AD) Pharamond r. fl400 (earliest in MBKQ) - ?
...about 1200 years, or about 40 generations? Traditional Frankish Royal genealogy above traces Pharamond back to Javan, but no Brutus or Aeneas(?) Hmmm, but by using the Trojan Genealogies 1-4 below, we can work our way forward from Javan to Aeneas, ggfather of Brutus. Apparently Cambo (Blascon) had multiple sons Blascon (Pharamond line) and Jasius I (Aeneas line), but they may overlap in other ways.

Founding of Rome: "One legend says that the Trojan warrier Aeneas set up a kingdom in Italy after the fall of Troy in the 1100s BC. Another tradition describes how 2 of his descendants, Romulus and Remus, founded the city of Rome in 753 BC ... (originally) a simple farming community. According to tradition, 7 kings ruled early Rome ... Romulus, Numa Pompilius, Tullus Hostilius, Ancus Marcius, Lucius Tarquinius Priscus, Servius Tullius, and Lucius Tarquinius Superbus. During the 500s BC, the Etruscans ruled Rome (built city wall, drained nearby swamps, laid first sewer ... The Romans rose against the harsh Etruscan king Tarquinius Superbus, and declared Rome a republic in 509 BC ... During the 400s BC, Rome and neighboring cities formed the Latin League to fight their common enemies. Horatius, Coriolanus, and Cincinnatus were heroes of this period" (Worldbook).

When Josiah died in 610, his son Jehoahaz, or Shallum, b. 633, r. 610 (bad) took over, but had reigned for only 3 months when Pharaoh Neco of Egypt overran Jerusalem. When Jehoahaz wouldn't cooperate, Neco imprisoned him (in Egypt) and installed Eliakim, another son of Josiah, onto the throne (as a puppet ruler), changing his name to Jehoiakim, where he "ruled" 11 years (bad), until 599, when Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon attacked Jerusalem, looting the Temple, exiling Eliakim and about 3K other Jews (incl. Ezekial) to Babylon, and installing Eliakim's 8 year old son Jehoiachin as (puppet) King of Judah (lasted 3 months, bad). Nebuchadnezzar then exiled him to Babylon and installed Mattaniah (renamed Zedekiah), another son of Josiah, as puppet king, lasting 11 years (bad) until 588, when Jerusalem was sacked by Nebuchadnezzar (zenith of Babylon), beginning 70 years of captivity for the Jews, until the foundation of Persia, as fortold by the prophet Jeremiah. As an interesting genealogical sidenote, the line to Jesus continues from Josiah thru Jechoniah, Salathiel, Zerubbabel, Abiud, Eliakim, Azor, Zadok, Achim, Eliud, Eleazar, Matthan, Jacob, Joseph who m. Mary (also descended from King David), parents of Jesus the Messiah/Christ

Traditionally, Ham "has been associated with Africa, Japheth with Europe [the West] and Shem with the East" [i.e. "Semites"]. This from Tudor Parfitt's The Lost Tribes of Israel, citing Rabinus Maurus' famous work De Universo or De rerum naturis, compiled 842-6 AD, published 10C AD.

"World leadership, which after the Flood was first held by the Hamitic races, and from them passed on to the Semitic nations, was from now on [starting w/Persia] to become concentrated in the hands of the Japhethic, or Aryan, peoples" (241). History has played out acc. to Gen. 9:24-7; "All the greatest empires of the earliest antiquity were Hamitic: the mighty and long-continued kingdom of [Mizraim] Egypt; the great empire of Nimrod [early Babylon] ... all the 7 nations of Canaan; and above all ... the Hittites ... Next ... were the Semites ... Assyria and [later] Babylon ... under Nebuchadnezzar it became a world empire ... finally overthrown by the Persians [the first Aryan world power p243] ... The destruction of the Semitic Babylonian empire in 538 BC by Cyrus the Persian was the beginning of Japhethic world rule ... [then] Alexander the Great, also an Aryan ... [then after defeating Hamitic Carthage at decisive Zama 202 BC] Rome [later Europe [w/India, Russia], Britain, America]" (244-5, The Rebirth of the State of Israel, Arthur W. Kac, 1958, Moody Press, SBC). Kac draws from H. Grattan Guinness' 1889 book The Divine Programme of the World's History (Hodder and Stoughton, London). It would be interesting to look that book over.
