The objective of the Rose Society is to be an informative association made up of local Rosarians sharing their knowledge of the rose. Programs are presented at each meeting on care, fertilization, pruning, and winter protection. Guest speakers are invited to speak to the society and share their knowledge. We have a question and answer period followed by a brief business meeting. Our meetings involve discussions on Hybrid Tea Roses, Miniature Roses, Climbing Roses, Old Garden Roses (David Austin Roses), Shrubs, Floribunda and Grandiflora Roses, and arrangements.

The Greene County Rose Society is proud that it is well represented not only on the local level, but also on the district and national level. Our members include the Buckeye District Director, the National Arrangements Chairman, 6 horticulture judges and 4 arrangement judges. We also have 7 consulting rosarians.
