Thomas BURNETT and Isabel PRINGLE were natives of Scotland; lived in Ettrick, Selkirk, Roxburgh, Inverness, Isle of Lewis, Abbotsford and he was to have been an overseer of Balmoral Castle where many of his children were born. Sometime after Spring 1854, after the birth of their 12th child, this family immigrated to Illinois, USA via New York>Chicago>Sparland>Steuben>LaPriarie. both he, Isabel and many decendants are buried in the United Presbetarian Church Cemetery (UPCC) in LaPrarie, IL (which was donated farmland from unrelated John Currie).
