Little Angels

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold
So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye."
So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children, angels are hard to find.

IN REMEMBRANCE OF AMBER

One dark night, so long ago and very far away,
A baby left His heavenly home to be born on earth that day.
Amidst the shining stars and angels glorious songs,
He left His home of love and peace,
He was gone, but not for long.

Although His Father's love was great for His only Son,
So was the Father's love great for the people on earth,
                                Each and every one.

And thus His Son was sent to die,
So we might know Him well
                                All who believe will dwell.

The dawning of His life was the dawning of our peace,
Showing us the Father's love for us will never cease.

On Christmas eve many years later,
                                A beautiful baby lay,
                                In her mother's arms,
Ready to leave for her heavenly home so far away.

A precious baby sent to live on earth,
                                As a great gift,
Entrusted by God to her parents,
Who had much love to give.

Her life on earth was filled with joy and light,
                                Her family's love was great.
                                Yet throughout this time,
                                Her heavenly Father did wait.

So it was on Christmas eve,
As the world celebrates the dawning of His Son,
God our Father called home His little one.

A life so short yet sweet, created by such love.
Amber now awaits her family with her Heavenly Father above.

                                                                With much love,
                                                                Cathy Klein
