Daniel Lindsay TRUSSELL was born March 28, 1808. On August 11, 1825?, he married Rebecca KENDRICK in Jasper Co., Ga. Rebecca (a/k/a Becky) was born July 25, 1803. Rebecca was the daughter of Sheldrick KENDRICK and Nancy BURKS. (A biography of Benjamin Burks Kendrick, Sheldrick's son, can be found at this link via the Talbot County, Georgia website.) Soon after their wedding, Daniel drove up to the KENDRICK's home with a new covered wagon pulled by 2 mules. He picked up Rebecca and her things and they moved to Talbot County where Daniel had bought land. Their children were: Richard Burks, b. June 14, 1829, md. Mary Ann KING (see below) Sarah A. E., b. March 24, 1831, d. April 6, 1889 in Talbot Co., Ga. Oliver Henry, b. November 10, 1832, md. Sarah Peed, d. June 6, 1894 in Talbot Co. Nancy Jane, b. Oct. 18, 1834, d. Dec. 28, 1891 John W., b. Jan. 27, 1837, d. Nov. 12, 1864 Martha C., b. Mar 31, 1839, md. John G. Foster Fannie R., b. Jan. 16, 1841, d. Jan. 14, 1882 Robert Lindsay, b. Feb. 4, 1843, md. Louesa JANE, d. Feb. 27, 1905 Henry Christopher, b. June 6, 1845, md. F. Eeyene WILLIAMS, d. July 11, 1910 John W. was elected as 2nd Lieutenant of Co. B, 32nd Regt. Ga. Inf. in April 1862. He was promoted to 1st Lieutenant in May 1863. He was killed at Fort Sumter, SC on Nov. 12, 1864. Robert L. was appointed 3rd Corporal of Co. B, 32nd Regt. Ga. Inf. in April 1862. He was promoted to 1st Corporal in 1864. He surrendered in Greensboro, NC, on April 26, 1865. Henry Chris was a Private in Co. B, 32nd Regt. Ga. Inf. He surrendered in Greensboro, NC on Apr. 26, 1865. Daniel Lindsay Trussell died on March 12, 1862 and is buried in Talbot Co. Rebecca lived to be 95 years old; she was living with her son, Henry Christopher, when she died. Rebecca is buried next to Daniel L. in Talbot Co.

Richard Burks TRUSSELL was born June 14, 1829 in Jasper County, Georgia, to Daniel Lindsay TRUSSELL and Rebecca KENDRICK. Richard married Mary Ann KING in 1852 in Talbot County, Georgia. Mary was born October 10, 1834. Their children were: James Henry, b. Oct. 13, 1853 in Talbot Co., d. July 28, 1864. Leanoria Cornelia, b. Oct. 7, 1855 in Talbot Co. Daniel King, b. Jan. 12, 1858 in Jackson Parish, La. (see below) John Bell, b. June 25, 1860 in Jackson Parish, La. Sarah Frances, b. Dec. 8, 1862 in Muscogee Co., Ga., d. Aug. 30, 1870. Ella Elizabeth, b. Aug. 2, 1866 in Muscogee Co., Ga., md. R.G. JOLLY, d. June 1938. Nannie Rebecca, b. Sept. 9, 1869 in Marion Co., Ga, d. Aug. 27, 1890 in Bullock Co., Ala. Willie Burks, b. Aug. 16, 1872 in Talbot Co., Ga, d. May 6, 1876. Cattie Lee, b. May 24, 1876 in Talbot Co., Ga., d. May 5, 1946 in Columbus, Ga. Charlie Wesley, b. July 23, 1878 in Talbot Co., d. Aug. 9, 1950 in Columbus, Ga. Richard Burks TRUSSELL died on July 26, 1892 in Union Springs, Bullock Co., Alabama. Mary died February 19, 1903.

Daniel King TRUSSELL was born January 12, 1858 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. His parents were Richard Burks TRUSSELL and Mary Ann KING. On November 15, 1887, Daniel married Lula Hill CRESWELL. Their children were: John C., Jr. Mary Lizzie, b. Dec. 23, 1890, d. Nov. 7, 1925 in Lee Co., Ala. Neva Bell, b. Nov. 2, 1892 in Bullock Co., Ala., md. Willie Taylor MURPHY, d. July 25, 1971 (see Will MURPHY) Daniel Raiford, d. May 23, 1948 Daniel King TRUSSELL died on August 21, 1921.
