Homeschooling at this young age is about so much more than just the ABCs and counting and colors and shapes. It's about talking about the clouds and where the water goes when it rains. It's about learning to share, helping around the house (the beginning of family obligation), and realizing that other people have feelings too. You can talk about so much - and there's no need to talk down to very young children. They understand a lot. In these journals I've written about the special moments like when Julian first said, "I luh you," and the day he dressed himself and so proudly went through the market in his sparkling gold bicycle helmet, an inside out t-shirt, Levis and tennis shoes.
