Peanut butter and Jelly! Punch 'em in the belly.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Song was invented by my Great-Grandmother,
Margaret Elvira Crafton Wesson (we all called her Grandmother). The story was
recently retold to me by my Granny. Grandmother was making my Uncle Vester (then
a small boy) a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She started singing, "peanut
butter and jelly, punch 'em in the belly." Granny asked her where she had heard
that song and Grandmother said she had just made it up. It has lasted in our familly
as long as we keep making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Now, I want to here the song!
