Over the years I have extracted many obituaries from various Payne County newspapers. I am compiling an index to the people for whom obits, death notices, cards of thanks, resolutions on death, etc. have appeared in these newspapers. So far my index has over 20,000 entries.This index is in database form, but is not available to the public.

From the obituaries I have only copied one line of information: name, birth and death dates, relationship, and cemetery of burial.

Below I list the year periods into which my databases are divided. The number of obits for each period are also listed.
