| We got Shadow 9/19/00, and he seems to fit right in our household. He is a very lovable dog, easy to get along with and happy. He started obedience training in November, and he thinks it is very foolish, but if Mert wants him to do it, he'll go along, but not quietly! | |

He would rather chase his kong or a stick. He will retrieve them from anywhere, and we get tired of throwing long before he gets tired of retrieving. |

As a puppy, Shadow was sold to the owner of a commercial rare-bird breeding facility, who died before Shadow's 2nd birthday. Eventually, he was returned to his breeder, who raises German Shepherds and Labs in Washington state. We heard about the dog through a German Shepherd email list, as the breeder was searching for a new home for him. |
