BAPTISM - 9/27/00

On Sunday September 27th, Ricky was baptized at St. John Fisher Church. The first picture on the left shows Father Michael blessing him with oil. A few seconds before this picture was taken, Ricky was busy nursing away!! The second photo shows the actual baptism with holy water. Mom Barbara is holding Ricky, Dad- Rick sr, is next to mom. Maria Swanson, godmother and Uncle Doug, godfather. Ricky was blessed to have two godmothers, Maria Eugenia Pereiras is his other godmother. She was unable to attend since she lives far away.

Here are a few photos of Ricky wearing his christening gown. This gown was worn by his uncle Humberto in 1951, his mom in 1960 and his cousin James in 1974. It originally came from Spain. His grandma Mercedes  did a great job in preserving the gown. The first picture shows Ricky with some of his bears. He is a lucky boy with a LOT of toys!
