What is a home inspection? A home inspection is an evaluation of the serviceability, by visual survey, of certain
fixed components of a home. It is the intent of the inspection to provide
the prospective homebuyer with a better understanding of the overall condition
of the property. Are there different types of inspections? There are two basic types of home inspections: Visual and Technical A Visual inspection consists of the surveying of specific components of the property to gather an overall conclusion of the property's condition. The Visual inspection process is non-destructive and is, by far, the most common inspection performed. A Technical inspection is more costly and is typically recommended only for homes that display several major questionable findings. Technical inspections typically include geological, lead paint, radon and asbestos testing, as well as other destructive-type testing. Call Today 661.822.4822 *TWI certified Inspector, member: NAAI |
