The Garden Gate
A Photographic Plant Journal
by Patricia Wilmarth Aigner

The English wallflower, tulips, ajuga, money plant and candytuft are in bloom.  Most of the perennials have made their appearance known; the hostas, ferns, and Asian lillies are four to six inches above ground.  The lilacs are in bloom and the roses have buds...and aphids.

In the vegetable garden, the asparagus have gone to seed, the strawberries are flowering and the onions, lettuce and cilantro are enjoying the cool weather.  Several year old blackberries have been planted and seedless raspberries from Shephards Garden Catalog will soon join them.
