Mark
Singing his main solo to Grandpa, "Sometimes Dreams Can't Wait."
Mark has been
gifted with a true soprano voice and he used his gift in this song where
he had to hit many high notes. We were thankfull that his voice did
not begin to change!
He performed
his solos without flaw. Praise the Lord!
Mark says "I
can't wait to try out for the Easter Production!" We are all amazed
that he never gets nervous performing to large crowds.
"Four
Tickets to Christmas" was the theme song of the musical. This scene
was so much fun. The idea was to simulate people on board a moving
train. The snowy background moved along some tracks to enhance the
feeling of motion while the chorus bounced up and down and the ladies spun
their parasols as if they were the train's wheels. The engine is
off camera to the right. You can see Mark (Nicholas) between two
ladies. Dave was one of the guys keeping the background moving.
You might say he had his head in the snow!
Here
is the Richmond family. Mark played Nicholas. Here they are
singing the opening number, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
Every
show needs it's comic relief. That's where the Lamplighters came
in. From the left we have Ron, Dan, Brady and Dave. The guys
had so much fun doing their parts. They got to ham it as if they
were always trying to steal the show. Obviously they thought very
highly of themselves! They considered themselves the "talented members
of the chorus."
Dave still thinks the
guys should quit their jobs and go at it full time!
