Dress codes are sweeping the nation's high schools and in some instances, middle schools, and unfortunately, aside from the great deal of criticism from most of the students, incessant harrassment from the teachers who stand in the middle of the halls with nothing else to occupy their time but by telling us to tuck in our shirts and all. Even though it seems that is the only implication of the dress code that is enforced, it is still a sham to see happening. It is also things such as these that can affect a student's self esteem and cause troubles academically as well.
Even though being stopped in the hall and being told to tuck your shirt in seems rather minor, it is extremely embarrassing for an adolescent to be pulled out of the crowd only to be told to tuck in their shirt. I believe the world has not realized that there are more important issues to examine than that of students who do not tuck in their shirt and abide by these rather contreversal regulations. The dress code is also a farce because often times you will see a teacher or two not abiding by the very restrictions they are put in place to enforce.
