My Illustrious Ancestors: Family Photos

Until pretty recently I didn't really have any family photos, beyond Mom & Dad & my brother Mike. I've collected a few in the last year or two. Here's Dad, after he got out of his LaGuardia phase, with Grandma. In old shots, Grandma never seems to want pictures taken of her.

Here's Grandma with her sister and mother, who we called Aunt May and Grandma Feingold, and Mom and me. That's Mike on Grandma's lap, at left. This is from about 1972.

My dad's father, who had enough personality for several people, appears in two photos from his younger years. In the second one he looks a little like he's running for office somewhere. I assure you, he's not. My grandfather was many things, most of them good, but an elected official wasn't one of them.

Here's one of Mike and his girlfriend Pilar. It also features my cousin Mona and her son Adam, then about 8, and my dad. I have no idea how Adam managed to remain still enough for my camera.

This is a picture of my father's first cousins Howie and Alan, and their father Jack. I include it mostly as a reminder of Howie's failed career as a Monkees impersonator.

Finally, this is my rarely seen sister Vida.
