Thanksgiving at our house can be an interesting get together. We all pitch in and bring something to one of the two 25 lb. birds to the numerous pumpkin pies or the stuffing, potatoes, cranberries. The best thing about this bountiful feast is that all of my brothers and sisters & theirs are together to give thanks for the previous year.

There is football games to be watched and card games to be played throughout the day. If it is nice weather outside there is also a game of football set up between the 19 cousins; which always proves to be entertaining even for me because I am not a football game watcher. Watching them makes a person realize just what the Holiday is all about. FAMILY!

Another tradition is to do the name exchange for Christmas present gift giving between the cousins and the adults. Makes the holidays alot easier when you don"t have to buy for everyone and just have the one exchange name. There is always FUN to be had by all on this day before the Christmas season hits.

The day after Thanksgiving is dedicated to Family time with mine by taking out all the Christmas Decorations and redoing the house for Christmas! To some this may seem early but for us It is a day to be together and spend time doing something as a family unit just with us.Besides with the kids not having school and a weekend to do this... It seems like once Thanksgiving hits the Holiday hussle and bussle also hits and we dont have that quality-quiet time together.
